The Role of Executives in Corporate Social Media
Seth Farbman I think it's more of a lack of just focus on it, and it could be something as silly as, you know, you and I meet at a conference. First thing I'm going to do is Google your name. I don't even have the patience very often to go to the website about us, who we are. I've already, like, gotten bored. I'm just going to Google your name and the first thing that comes up is your LinkedIn profile. And, you know, it's it's comical when the CEO of of a large company has as his profile him and his dog. I mean, again, no offense to the pet lovers or if it's a group photo, right? Him and his buddies, him and four guys.
I don't know which is him and which is his friend. Like, small things like that make a big difference. I'm still to this day shocked at how many publicly traded companies have spent millions. Right. To get to that point. Ring the Nasdaq bell. Break out the champagne. But yet, on their LinkedIn profile, they don't say, hey, we're a public company, we're on Nasdaq. Here's our ticker symbol. It's just a lot of lost opportunity that I think a lot of companies can can focus on. And if they don't have the time to do it themselves and hire a team. But, but those are the things that we see a lot.
