What Is An RFP? Request For Proposal: Government Contracting 101

Josh 00:00:00  So, Nicolas, you know, these investor relations companies are working with these issuers and they're looking to get government contracts. And the question comes up, what is an RFP? Why don't you share? What the heck is an RFP?

Nicholas 00:00:14  Yeah. So government contracting 101 an RFP stands for request for proposal. This is when the government, whether it's federal, state or local government, issues a proposal because they need a request for something. So for example, they need a thousand pens and they want to know what is your proposal for those pens. Or they need consulting services and they issue an RFP request for proposal, basically saying, send us your proposal on what it would cost for these consulting services or these pens. So they issue a basically a synopsis of what they're looking for. And you respond with a proposal. Right? So a request for a proposal, you respond with a proposal. It's as simple as that.
