Who is involved in an IPO The primary player involved is the public company itself or the soon to be public company which is the company that is selling its securities its shares its common stock Also involved is the underwriter That's the investment bank that's helping to distribute those securities to the public So think JP Morgan Morgan Stanley Goldman Sachs
Also involved as well is the auditor That's the independent accounting firm that verifies the financial statements of the soon to be public or public company And then there are some ancillary players involved like the investor relations firms the corporate printers and whatnot
